Job summary

STS Technical Services in Butner, NC is seeking Assemblers to support equipment assembly in a hands-on manufacturing setting. You will build mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies per detailed instructions using a range of hand, pneumatic and power tools.

The role requires reading schematics and working across multiple areas as production needs change. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented and able to lift up to 35 pounds, with team lifts up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required by business and production demands.
• Ability to maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance.
• Manufacturing or general labor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses and hydraulic components using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install equipment accessories including decals, mud flaps, cameras and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools including wrenches, hammers and torque guns.
• Measure parts and components accurately using tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses and small components.
• Read schematics, blueprints and Standard Work Instructions.
• Identify required options and assembly requirements.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts weighing up to 35 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for parts weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain attention to detail and established quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures and 6S standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
