Job summary

STS Technical Services in Butner, North Carolina is seeking a Mechanic to support equipment assembly in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The role involves assembling mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components according to detailed work instructions, blueprints and schematics.

You will operate power tools, read schematics, and contribute to multiple assembly areas as production demands change. Lifting up to 60 pounds with team support, you will ensure safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required by production demands.
• Ability to maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance.
• At least six months of experience in manufacturing or general labor.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses and hydraulic components using power tools and manual assembly techniques.
• Install equipment accessories including decals, mud flaps, cameras and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Read schematics, blueprints and Standard Work Instructions to identify required options.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts weighing up to 35 pounds independently; team lifts up to 60 pounds.
• Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as required.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions and maintain established quality standards.
