Job summary

Gordian is seeking a Facilities Assessment Consultant - Mechanical / Electrical to travel nationally and occasionally internationally to perform facility condition assessments across diverse asset types. You will review drawings, inspect mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems, and contribute to cost estimates and asset management workflows.

The role requires 5+ years in related fields, knowledge of building codes for existing structures, and proficiency with RS Means data and MS

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in facility assessment/inspection, operations, design, construction, or facility management.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards for existing buildings.
• Experience estimating replacement costs using RS Means or similar datasets.
• Experience lifecycle analysis to identify deficiencies and corrective costs.
• Proficient with MS Office and mobile devices for field work.

Responsibilities

• Independently review client documentation and perform on-site inspections of mechanical, electrical, and related systems.
• Develop cost estimates for replacement or corrective measures using data libraries and vendor input.
• Document findings in Gordian's asset management and capital planning software.
• Coordinate with client facilities staff to understand operations and needs.
• Provide QA for findings and respond to client inquiries.
