Job summary

Schenck USA Corp. in Deer Park, NY is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Assembler. The role focuses on building machines and large assemblies, including electrical panels, cables, and related components, following blueprints and specifications.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical experience, a high school diploma, and at least 3+ years in an industrial setting. This is a union position with benefits and relevant safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical & electrical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training helpful.
• Experience reading basic mechanical blueprints & electrical schematics.
• Must be able to lift 10-25 lbs, sometimes up to 50 lbs.
• Must be a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Build machines and large assemblies using power and hand tools.
• Electrical panel wiring and cable assembly.
• Follow blueprints, work instructions, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Spray paint machine parts.
• Operate forklift and overhead hoist to move materials and finished products.
• Perform basic facility maintenance tasks.
