Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) to assist senior staff on engineering projects. You will learn design standards, perform analyses, and contribute to drawings using Revit and AutoCAD under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited degree and has passed the FE exam with EIT certification, along with strong communication and teamwork skills. This is a full-time position based in Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required (B.S./M.S.).
• FE exam passed and EIT certification required.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.
• Experience with industry software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in project execution and design development.
• Learn standards and procedures for design analyses.
• Support production of designs using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Participate in project meetings with owners, architects, and contractors.
• Contribute to technical documentation and proposals.
• Attend training to expand technical knowledge.
