Job summary

Intellectt Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Drafter for our client in Bloomfield, CT. The successful candidate will support elevator engineering through the development and maintenance of mechanical drawings, 3D CAD models, assemblies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

This role requires hands‑on experience with Creo CAD software and the Windchill PLM system, along with a strong understanding of engineering drawings, sheet metal design, GD&T, and configuration control.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with Creo CAD software.
• Experience using the Windchill PLM system.
• Experience creating and modifying mechanical drawings, 3D models, and assemblies.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design and wire harness-related components.
• Experience creating, configuring, or modifying Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and configuration control.
• Ability to maintain complex CAD models and engineering documentation.
• An engineering degree or equivalent relevant training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary and final elevator drawings using Creo CAD software.
• Develop, modify, and maintain complex 3D CAD models, mechanical assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Prepare and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for elevator units.
• Modify drawings and BOMs to accommodate approved non-standard requests.
• Support sheet metal design and wire harness-related engineering activities.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and configuration records.
• Apply engineering drawing standards, GD&T principles, and configuration control procedures.
• Use Creo and Windchill to support CAD design, product data management, and engineering documentation workflows.
• Provide technical guidance related to Creo and Windchill when required.

• Meet applicable work authorization requirements in accordance with relevant law.
