Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 8–10 years of experience in MEP engineering or construction, with 3–5 years in a management role.
• PMP or similar certification, LEED accreditation or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the division leadership and project teams, delegating responsibilities and providing training.
• Manage the division budget, monitor costs, and review financial performance with CFO/Controller.
• Drive division performance by coordinating with project managers on progress, profitability, and staffing needs.
• Oversee workforce planning with HR to recruit, retain, and develop staff to meet project demands.
• Ensure quality and safety by enforcing standards, codes, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate projects and stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues across divisions and clients.

As the Mechanical Division Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of MEPF systems in construction projects. This role involves managing a team of project managers, coordinators, superintendents, foremen and field personnel, ensuring the division operates within company processes. The Division Manager will maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across all projects, while driving performance excellence. Collaborating closely with other divisions, departments, and executives, the Division Manager ensures that the division's work aligns with project timelines, budgets, specifications, and customer expectations, contributing to the overall success of each project.

What Will You Be Earning?

• Pay: Up to $150,000.00
• Compensation includes a base salary of up to $150,000, with potential for additional bonus incentives.
  

What Are We Looking For?

• Lead & Develop the Division: Supervise, mentor, and support division leadership and project teams. Delegate responsibilities effectively, provide training and guidance, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
• Manage Budget & Financial Performance: Develop and manage the division’s budget, monitor project costs and profitability, identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency, and meet regularly with the CFO and Controller to review labor, expenses, and financial performance.
• Drive Division Performance: Meet regularly with Project Managers to evaluate project progress, performance, and profitability. Participate in executive meetings to communicate key performance metrics, operational challenges, and successes. Forecast workload and manpower requirements to align staffing with company goals and project demands.
• Oversee Workforce Planning: Partner with Human Resources to develop strategies for recruiting, retaining, and developing employees while ensuring the division maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet current and future project needs.
• Ensure Quality & Safety: Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure MEP systems are installed correctly and perform as intended. Promote strict adherence to company safety policies, applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Coordinate Projects & Stakeholders: Collaborate with senior management, clients, Project Managers, other divisions, and external stakeholders to provide project updates, resolve issues, and ensure effective coordination and integration of mechanical systems.
• Manage Risk: Proactively identify risks and challenges throughout the design and construction process and implement strategies to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and minimize impacts to project schedules, costs, and quality.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all mechanical designs, installations, and operations comply with applicable building codes, regulations, company standards, and industry requirements.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends. Identify and implement improvements to processes, procedures, and systems that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality, and strengthen overall division performance.

Requirements

What Do We Want To See?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in MEP engineering or construction, including 3–5 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction practices, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Proven experience overseeing large-scale construction projects, with a strong understanding of MEP systems and project operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage resources, and drive project and division performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar project management certification.
• LEED accreditation (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
• Relevant industry certifications related to MEP systems, construction, or building codes.
