Protocase Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer (SolidWorks) to transform customer concepts into production-ready sheet metal designs.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to deliver accurate drawings and optimized parts for manufacture, with exciting, fast-paced projects across the globe. The role emphasizes collaboration, manufacturability, and continuous improvement, in a software-driven, custom manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's/Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience using SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software.
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Responsabilidades

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Review customer designs and optimize them for manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams throughout the manufacturing process.
• Prepare production-ready engineering documentation and drawings.
• Troubleshoot design and manufacturing challenges while recommending practical solutions.
• Support prototype development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements and company quality standards.
