Job summary

Knapheide in Quincy, IL is seeking an entry-level Product Designer to support senior designers by updating and creating product designs, detailing drawings, layouts, and BOMs, and learning the company’s systems and processes.

You will attend customer specification reviews, prepare sales engineering drawings for approvals, and provide plant support to engineering opportunities, developing your SolidWorks skills and practical metalworking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in drafting and design with 1 year of relevant experience.
• BSME or equivalent degree preferred.
• Knowledge of sheet metal processes.
• Familiar with SolidWorks is preferred.
• Must be able to pass SolidWorks certification examinations.

Responsibilities

• Detail drawings, layout and design, bill of material generation.
• Attend customer specification reviews.
• Sales engineering drawings for customer approval.
• Provide plant support for engineering related opportunities.
