Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Mechanical Designer to craft HVAC, piping, exhaust, and process utility designs for state-of-the-art semiconductor facilities. You will work with engineers, PMs, and cross-disciplinary teams to develop detailed designs that ensure reliability and performance in demanding environments.

You will apply HVAC design knowledge, CAD standards, and collaborative problem-solving to deliver high-quality design packages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO is a plus.
• Familiarity with HVAC design standards and codes (ASHRAE 62.1, IMC, NFPA 90A).
• Experience with HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, exhaust in mechanical building design.

Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models.
• Lead the creation, refinement, and finalization of designs for piping, HVAC, exhaust, and process utilities.
• Design HVAC systems to maintain precise environmental conditions with specified materials and requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with CAD standards and project guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineers to perform load calculations, airflow balancing, and equipment sizing.
• Coordinate with design teams and stakeholders to address objectives and challenges.
• Conduct field verifications and site assessments to integrate solutions into design packages.
