Job description

• Design mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using engineering principles
• Work with project managers, engineers, and contractors to create concepts and designs for assigned projects
• Collaborate with the team to execute project goals successfully
• Conduct field surveys to identify existing equipment types and system capabilities
• Produce design documents, including drawings, system flow diagrams and architecture, wiring diagrams, construction details, and equipment schedules
• Deliver concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines
• Contribute to the creative process and department activities
• Perform work under direct supervision
• Handle basic issues and refer complex issues to higher-level staff
• Assist with technical reports and related documents
• Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to team members
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

• Associate degree in HVAC Technology, Building Systems Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 2-4 years' experience with building construction, especially mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or automatic temperature controls
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
