Job summary

IMEG Corp. in Greenwood Village, CO is hiring a Mechanical Designer to assist with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design and analysis for hospitality and MEP projects.

You will interact with clients, support budgeting and scheduling, and contribute to high-performance, energy-efficient designs aligned with industry standards. The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong BIM and engineering software proficiency, and the ability to collaborate in a team.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience minimum, 6 preferred in building design or construction industry.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for buildings.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned engineering tasks of low to moderate complexity and assist with the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Use engineering software to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, communicate technical information, and maintain client relationships.
• Support the execution of consulting projects as part of a project team.
• Assist with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet project deadlines and objectives.
• Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Analyze engineering tasks and collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs meet quality standards and client requirements.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices, contributing to R&D and innovation.
• Prioritize safety by identifying and mitigating potential safety risks in mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
