ABB’s NEMA Motors Division seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to create and release custom electric motor designs and related engineering docs for customer orders.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure requirements, performance, and on‑time delivery, using SAP, SolidWorks PDM, and established processes.

The role emphasizes accuracy, manufacturability, and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design/Drafting with experience also acceptable.
• 4+ years relevant experience with a high school diploma.
• Authorization to work in the US is required.

Responsabilités

• Creates, modifies, and releases custom electric motor designs and engineering docs for customer orders.
• Develops and updates manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly specs for low to medium complexity apps.
• Collaborates with manufacturing, sales, and cross-functional teams to meet requirements and quality targets.
• Maintains engineering drawings, BOMs, specs, and documentation for orders.
• Supports design changes, configurations, and technical solutions for customers.
• Uses SAP and engineering tools to manage docs and drive improvement.
