Job summary

Averro is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Kent, WA to translate engineering specs into production-ready 2D and 3D drawings. You will work daily with engineers, fabricators, and assembly personnel to ensure designs are accurate, practical, and delivered on schedule.

The role requires 4+ years in design or drafting in manufacturing, with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, piping, or structural components.

Qualifications

• Certificate or associate's degree in drafting or engineering technology.
• 4+ years of relevant design/drafting experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with fabrication drawings per ASME/ANSI.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D models using CAD software.
• Produce customer-facing and internal layout drawings.
• Create piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Generate fully dimensioned shop drawings for fabrication.
• Prepare general assembly drawings.
• Develop as-built documentation; field-verify dimensions as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for manufacturability and tolerance.
• Create and maintain part numbers, BOMs, and specs.
• Contribute to design development of new concepts.
