Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support planning, design, and delivery of mechanical building systems. You will develop construction documents in Revit and work with a multidisciplinary team in a hybrid in-office setting in Austin, TX.

The role offers mentorship, exposure to diverse projects, and growth toward roles such as Engineer of Record or Project Manager, with a strong emphasis on client communication and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of mechanical (HVAC) design experience for building systems.
• EIT designation or active progress toward EIT.
• Proficiency in Revit for construction documents.
• Ability to work in-office for training and collaboration.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical system design under the direction of Mechanical Leads and Licensed Professional Engineers.
• Learn and apply design strategies for building mechanical systems.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and documentation tasks.
• Develop and coordinate work in Revit and Bluebeam.
• Contribute to the preparation of construction documents.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables and daily tasks.
• Collaborate with project teams in a hybrid/in-office learning environment.
• Support site visits, design coordination, and construction administration efforts as needed.
