Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, invites applications for a Mechanical Designer to support planning, design, and delivery of mechanical building systems across diverse projects. You will develop construction documents in Revit, coordinate design efforts, and work with engineers and project teams in a hybrid in-office environment in Seattle.

The role offers mentorship from experienced engineers and growth toward roles such as Engineer of Record or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of mechanical design experience for building systems.
• EIT designation or actively pursuing EIT credential.
• Proficiency in Revit for construction documents.
• In-office collaboration and training required.
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
• U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship).
• Proven ability to learn from senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical system design under supervision of leads and engineers.
• Learn and apply design strategies for building mechanical systems.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and documentation tasks.
• Develop and coordinate work in Revit and Bluebeam.
• Contribute to preparation of construction documents.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables and daily tasks.
• Collaborate with project teams in a hybrid/in-office learning environment.
• Support site visits, design coordination, and construction administration as needed.
