Job summary

Chemco Systems is seeking a Mechanical Designer to work on the layout and design of mechanical systems for bulk chemical storage handling and feed systems for air and water pollution treatment. The role requires leveraging technical skills to understand customer requirements, configure solutions, and demonstrate value across projects.

Responsibilities include creating 2D drawings and some 3D models with AutoCAD and Inventor, building BOMs, and coordinating with manufacturing and office teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in mechanical drafting/design preferred or equivalent mechanical drafting experience.
• Self-motivated with initiative to stay on task and schedule.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Primarily produce 2D models and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD; some 3D drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD Vault.
• Prepare equipment general arrangements, piping arrangements, piping diagrams and shop detail drawings as needed.
• Strong background with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills when interacting with manufacturing and office personnel.
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and BOM using Inventor.
• Be self-motivated to perform assignments in a timely and competent manner.
