Job summary

Enviro-Tech Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled 3-D CAD Designer/Mechanical Drafter to design and fabricate water-treatment and process equipment for oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial markets.

The role creates 3-D models, layouts, and BOMs, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to move projects from concept through installation. Office-based with field measurements when needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or certificate in drafting, mechanical design, CAD technology, or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (parts, assemblies, drawings).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, specs, and customer requirements.
• Mechanical fabrication, welding, structural steel, piping, and equipment assembly knowledge.
• Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, fits, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to create clear, fabrication-ready drawings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with engineers, managers, vendors, and shop personnel.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3-D models and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, equipment layouts, skid drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Produce detailed drawings for pressure vessels, tanks, piping systems, structural steel frames, platforms, ladders, and supports.
• Create piping layouts, spool drawings, nozzle orientations, and piping isometrics.
• Prepare accurate bills of material and material takeoffs.
• Convert sketches, process requirements, drawings, and P&IDs into complete fabrication packages.
• Incorporate pumps, valves, instrumentation, and other components into models.
• Check drawings for dimensional accuracy and compliance with project specs.
• Revise drawings based on engineering comments, customer feedback, and shop measurements.
• Coordinate with fabrication and shop personnel to resolve drawing questions.
