Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Mechanical Designer to join our client’s growing manufacturing team in Bridgewater, MA. You will create detailed 3D drawings and CAD models for manufacturing systems and components, collaborating with engineering and production to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.

Qualifications

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software.
• Extensive knowledge of welding related to structural steel and pressure vessels.
• Excellent technical drawing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software.
• Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Designing and executing complex 3D models for manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborating with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production.
• Ensuring all designs meet legal guidelines and safety requirements.
• Working with welding related to structural steel and pressure vessels.
