Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a stable manufacturing team in Wisconsin. You will design mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD, produce detailed drawings and BOMs, and push for cost-effective improvements.

Expect collaboration with production, quality, and suppliers to ensure designs are ready for manufacture. We're targeting candidates with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years' design experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in mechanical/product design in manufacturing.
• Experience with 3D CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, weldments or assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and new products using 3D CAD software.
• Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Improve existing products via design enhancements and cost-reduction.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure production readiness.
• Support prototypes, testing, engineering changes, and production troubleshooting.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting quality, cost, and timeline goals.
