Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design, development, and improvement of custom machinery, precision components, and manufacturing equipment. This role collaborates with engineering, production, and customer-facing teams to deliver designs that are manufacturable, high quality, and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include creating detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings, developing BOMs, and working with vendors to ensure component specifications align

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or related field.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to create fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with custom machinery or automation preferred.

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design, development, and improvement of custom machinery, precision components, and manufacturing equipment. This role works closely with engineering, production, and customer-facing teams to create detailed designs that can be efficiently manufactured while meeting performance, quality, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
  • Design custom mechanical systems, machine components, and production equipment.
  • Develop bills of materials (BOMs), layouts, and fabrication documentation.
  • Work with engineers and manufacturing personnel to improve product designs and manufacturability.
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and project meetings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on purchased components and technical specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar.
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
  • Ability to create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting custom machinery, industrial equipment, automation systems, or precision manufacturing environments is preferred.
