Job summary

Connected Systems Partners, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Westford, MA engineering team. You will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies from concept through prototyping, testing, and production.

You will create 3D CAD models and drawings, collaborate with Electrical and Manufacturing groups, and apply DFM/DFA, GD&T, and manufacturing knowledge to drive reliable, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mechanical engineering/product development.
• Strong 3D CAD experience.
• Experience taking products from design through prototype and production.
• Knowledge of machining and sheet metal manufacturing.
• Experience with engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on problem-solving with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Support products through the full development lifecycle.
• Develop prototypes and participate in testing and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with Electrical, Manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
• Support vendors and manufacturing partners.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and reliability.
• Utilize GD&T and appropriate engineering standards.
• Identify and resolve mechanical design and manufacturing issues.
