Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support a growing engineering and design team in the York, PA area. The role focuses on turning engineering concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings and designs, working closely with engineers and other drafters.

Responsibilities include creating and revising detailed drawings, developing designs from concepts, and ensuring drawings meet dimensional and manufacturability criteria.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree, technical diploma, or equivalent professional experience in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or related discipline.
• Previous mechanical CAD/design or drafting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Understanding of mechanical components, assemblies, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineering and technical teams.

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support a growing engineering and design team in the York, PA area. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical design/drafting experience who enjoys turning engineering concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings and designs.

The Mechanical Designer will work closely with engineers, drafters, checkers, and other technical team members to develop and update mechanical drawings while supporting projects from initial design through completion.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Dallastown, PA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
