Job summary

Actalent is seeking a motivated CAD Designer / Mechanical Design Technician to join our Engineering team in Spring Valley, MN. The role is open to recent graduates with a 2-year CAD/Engineering degree or experienced designers seeking to advance in product design and manufacturing.

Responsibilities include creating and revising 3D models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks, developing BOMs, and supporting production by resolving design issues. It is a permanent onsite position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD Drafting or related field.
• SolidWorks and sheet metal experience required.
• Ability to read and create manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding and machining processes.

• Assist with prototype fabrication, testing and validation.
• Participate in continuous product improvement and cost-reduction projects.

Work Environment

The work environment involves collaboration with various departments, including Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service. The role may include assisting with prototype fabrication, testing, and product validation, while focusing on continuous product improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Spring Valley, MN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
