The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join the Mechanical and Electrical Design Department in State College, PA. You will provide mechanical design support for research programs, create 2D drawings and 3D models, and manage documents using Teamcenter PLM within a DoD-affiliated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; 3+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Experience with CAD design and fabrication part/detail drawings.
• Familiarity with PLM tools and document control.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical design support for research engineering programs.
• Create intermediate 3D solid models and 2D drawings for fabrication.
• Perform documentation control, archiving and BOM management.
