Job summary

Socomec North America in Suwanee/S Georgia region seeks a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to support prototype builds, product changes, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Quality teams to resolve issues, update drawings and BOMs, and ensure product lifecycle documentation aligns with engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electro‑Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing.
• Experience supporting manufactured products through production, changes, troubleshooting, qualification, or continuous improvement.
• Proficient in SolidWorks with sheet‑metal design, BOMs, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering to integrate subsystems and resolve interface issues.
• Support prototype builds, pilot production, product launches, assembly, troubleshooting, and engineering changes.
• Investigate production, field, and service issues; identify root causes and develop corrective or product‑improvement solutions.
• Implement controlled engineering changes and updates to 3D models, drawings, BOMs, specifications, and ERP/PDM records.
• Work with suppliers, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality to improve components and assemblies.
• Prepare engineering documentation and support DFMEA/DSA activities, ISO 9001 compliance, and product lifecycle records.
