Job summary

IMEG Corporation seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Scottsdale, AZ for a 10-12 week summer program. You will assist with mechanical design, analysis, and oversight on vertical building systems alongside experienced engineers and consultants.

This paid, mentored internship offers hands-on project experience and exposure to education-focused work, with opportunities across the Southwest and in BIM/AutoCAD environments, while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting and ability to communicate clearly.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Skilled in AutoCAD and BIM software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of mechanical projects per IMEG standards.
• Support analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems.
• Research commercially available equipment for project applications.
• Maintain project documentation and design notebooks.
• Coordinate design and schedules with multi-disciplinary partners.
• Document decisions, meetings, and client instructions.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
• Assist with addendum preparation and project communications.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support related services.
