Job summary

Retech Systems LLC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist in designing mechanical and electromechanical assemblies used to manufacture specialized vacuum furnaces. You'll help specify motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, actuators, and sensors, and support thermal and mechanical modeling.

Responsibilities include CAD of subassemblies, producing technical evaluations, developing specifications, and supporting the engineering team on various tasks.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
• Familiarity with FEA and heat transfer analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in CAD of subassemblies for vacuum furnace components.
• Generate technical evaluations and reports using hand calculations, FEA, or other methods.
• Help develop engineering specifications for subsystems and services.
• Other duties as assigned.
