Marvin invites an engineering student to join the Custom Equipment Group in Warroad, MN for hands-on tasks in mechanical design, documentation updates, and ongoing equipment support. You will gain exposure to real-world machinery and participate in project work under supervisor guidance.

The role emphasizes learning across mechanical and electrical disciplines, with opportunities for hands-on design, drafting, and collaboration within a tight-knit engineering team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Internship experience helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn new skills and software.

Responsibilities

• Assist CEG with projects and routine engineering tasks.
• Contribute to mechanical design of new equipment.
• Update documentation for standards and maintenance, and assist with assemblies.

Job Overview

In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Custom Equipment Group (CEG) with projects and routine Engineering tasks, such as: mechanical design of new equipment, documentation updates for provisional standards and preventative maintenance, new equipment assembly and design updates to current equipment.

Highlights of your role

You will join an Engineering team, comprised of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Technicians, to help support initiatives within CEG. You will gain an understanding of traditional mechanical engineering activities necessary to support production, while also being given responsibility to perform tasks that will help you build your own Engineering skillset. Our team’s success is crucial to the growth and continuous improvement of the Warroad location.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

• Strong communication skills
• Eagerness to ask questions and talk through details you don’t understand
• Ability to apply technical skills learned in school to real-world applications
• Willingness to learn new skills, software, and procedures as they pertain to mechanical design and implementation

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm. Opportunity for OT dependent on project needs and current business environment.

You will also have:

• Access to your own workstation, including AutoCAD and Inventor software
• Responsibility for clocking in and out each day
• Updates, including final presentation, to Engineering leadership

Also want to make sure you have

• Pursuing degree in Engineering, or equivalent
• Past intern experience helpful, but not required
