Job summary

Veeco's Precision Surface Processing (PSP) division seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to own chamber development for next‑gen semiconductor systems. You will design and validate critical subsystems, driving architecture through production, and collaborating across functions to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.

You will perform thermal/structural analyses, create CAD models and BOMs, and support prototype testing and design reviews, while ensuring SEMI standards and safety practices are

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of capital equipment design experience.
• MS degree with 3+ years of experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure single‑wafer wet process chambers and subassemblies for aggressive chemical environments.
• Define mechanical specifications from customer requirements and integrate automation, gas, and fluid delivery elements.
