Job summary

Enovation Controls in Tulsa, OK seeks a SVE Mechanical Engineer to drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering and support sustaining engineering across products. You will partner with NPD during launches, own mechanical designs, update drawings and BOMs, and push design-for-manufacture improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical design, strong 3D CAD and GD&T skills, and proven collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to reduce costs while maintaining reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical product design and development experience; VAVE and sustaining engineering experience preferred.
• Mechanical product-design experience with strong 3D CAD, engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance-analysis skills.
• Knowledge of manufactured components, material selection, injection molding, casting, machining, sheet metal, and assembly methods.
• Ability to lead VAVE improvements, validate design changes, solve technical problems, and manage competing priorities.
• Understanding of engineering change control and the transfer of product design ownership into production.
• Strong cross-functional communication, documentation, and supplier collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• VAVE and cost reduction: identify improvements to materials, designs, and manufacturing methods while preserving performance and reliability.
• Own mechanical designs post-launch; maintain drawings, BOMs, specifications.
• Collaborate with NPD through launch and transfer of design intent and validation records.
• Design enclosures and assemblies using 3D CAD, GD&T, and DFMA.
• Coordinate prototypes/testing and release validated changes via engineering change controls.
• Resolve manufacturing and quality issues through root-cause analysis.
• Build cost-reduction cases and coordinate with Supply Chain and suppliers.
