Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred/required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
• Creative thinking, teamwork and ownership of safety are essential; hands-on attitude expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test prototype/production tooling for new products and improvements.
• Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering specs.
• Research and oversee installation of mechanical products, equipment and processes.
• Investigate material/equipment/process failures and recommend fixes.
• Use CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Pro/E) for design tasks.
• Test feasibility and performance of plastics materials, equipment and systems.
• Design test control apparatus and develop testing procedures.
• Perform training needs analysis and maintain training records.
• Coordinate and facilitate employee problem-solving teams.
• Assist with enforcing company policies and procedures.
