Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer – Test Equipment to design and develop hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic test systems for Moog products across military, commercial, and space programs.

The role focuses on creating new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will work on hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, integrate components, and guide assembly/test

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3 years’ relevant technical experience.
• Self-motivated, critical thinking and strong analytical skills.
• Solid modeling and/or drafting experience.
• Doors experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate as key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
• Contribute to the development of new test equipment through consulting with internal customers.
• Design hydraulic / pneumatic schematics to support new test system designs.
• Integrate hydraulic components into higher level test systems.
• Prepare, support, and guide the work of Assembly and Test technicians supporting your development activities.
• Contribute on work estimates for design and development efforts.
• Maintain engineering records, changes made and effects of changes on performance.
• Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Shares values of “teamwork is a must” and thus good communication is key.
• Coordinate and support the assembly of test equipment.
