Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an engineering manufacturer based in Richmond, IN. The role focuses on SolidWorks CAD modelling and creating 2D drawings for existing and new product designs.

The candidate will design, model, and test prototypes, oversee prototype development, and ensure designs meet industry and customer standards. A Mechanical Engineering degree with 3+ years' experience is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or higher education in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar position (e.g. Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer).
• Experience with SolidWorks 3D modelling and 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Improve the performance and design of existing products and oversee production and packaging of the final products.
• Use CAD to design concepts.
• Design, model and test prototypes for new products.
• Oversee prototype development and confirm designs with purchasing/customer team.
• Create concepts to meet production capabilities of the company.
• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to industry and customer standards.
• Create parts lists.
• Establish design briefs and maintain engineering records.
