Job summary

Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. in Tualatin, OR is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create robust pedestal solutions for semiconductor tools. You will interpret specifications, apply design-for-manufacturability, and model assemblies with Inventor.

The role is on-site in a collaborative environment, developing fixtures and managing ECOs to ensure designs meet production needs and standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor 2018 or newer.
• Experience designing for metal fabrication, welding and machining.
• Experience with change management systems, standards and ERP.
• Able to work with both metric and U.S. standard units.
• Semiconductor industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, cost-effective mechanical & structural solutions for semiconductor tool pedestals per specifications.
• Extract and interpret design values from customer specs and drawings.
• Apply DFM to drive down costs and increase efficiency.
• Create detailed models and drawings using Inventor; perform FEA analysis.
• Develop fabrication/mechanical fixtures for in-house and supplier use.
• Manage time-sensitive design tasks to meet business needs.
• Communicate project status and risks clearly.
