Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, Utah, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Flight Systems Engineering and Integration team. You will define mechanical interface controls, release integration drawings, and coordinate design solutions with other Flight Systems product teams to deliver robust, integrated hardware.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and an active U.S. SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Active Secret clearance at time of application.
• The ability to obtain and maintain SAP.
• Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar.
• Experience performing mechanical design efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define mechanical interface controls, release integration drawings, and coordinate design solutions alongside other Flight Systems product teams.
• Develop the mechanical interface baseline and present product designs to customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are critical to success in this position.
