Job summary

1st St NW Technical Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a direct-hire role in Minnesota. You will design and develop special application machines and robotic systems, using Solidworks for detailed models and assemblies.

The position involves FEA and tolerance studies, acting as technical lead on projects, and creating BOMs. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with design experience in automation, fixtures, CNC machining, robotics or precision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Design experience with automation, fixtures, CNC machining, robotics or precision tooling.
• Solidworks proficiency.
• Understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to conduct FEA, stress analysis and tolerance studies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop special application machines, robotic systems and fixtures.
• Use Solidworks to create detailed models and assemblies.
• Conduct engineering analysis (FEA and tolerance stack-up studies).
• Act as technical lead on assigned projects.
• Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs).
