Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly skilled engineer to develop 3D CAD models and assembly drawings for aerospace platforms. You will coordinate hardware and electrical design integration through procurement and manufacturing, ensuring seamless collaboration across disciplines in a laboratory setting.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree with DoD clearance and have experience with CATIA V5, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, and PLM systems, plus a track record in hardware integration and product lifecycle

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Background investigation completed within the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable timeframe.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience, or Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience for Level 2
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience, or Master’s Degree and 3 years, or Ph.D. and 1 year for Level 3
• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance
• Background investigation completed within the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable timeframe
• Experience developing mechanical designs using CATIA V5, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, or similar tools
• U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
• Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
• Preferred: Professional experience in aerospace and defense
• Preferred: Active Top Secret clearance
• Preferred: Active Program access
• Preferred: Mechanical design experience using CATIA V5
