Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to join our aerospace-focused team in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The role involves creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for gas turbine engine components and power generation systems, and supporting both legacy and next-generation platforms.

You will use GD&T, interpret drawings, and manage changes in Teamcenter while collaborating with project managers to meet milestones and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design utilizing CAD software.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of drawing interpretation.
• Experience with fabrication processes: casting, machining, sheet metal, tooling, welding and brazing.
• Candidate must be a U.S. person (citizenship/residency).
• Travel up to 25% may be expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design utilizing CAD software
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related
• Knowledge in drawing interpretation
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Demonstrate strong mechanical inclination, aptitude, and desire to create
• Effective Communication (oral & written)
• Effective interpersonal and team skills to resolve problems and to improve engineering-manufacturing integration
