Job summary

KLA Milpitas, CA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver innovative designs across the full product lifecycle, from requirements to manufacturing release. You will work with cross‑functional teams to integrate subsystems in demanding environments and ensure manufacturability.

Responsibilities include specification driving, 3D modeling in Creo/ SolidWorks, and multi‑disciplinary analysis, with emphasis on precision, vacuum considerations and reliability in semiconductor tooling.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of mechanics, materials and design principles.
• Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Exposure to vacuum systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive requirement specification across the project lifecycle.
• Perform conceptual and detailed design with 3D modeling.
• Conduct analyses (fluid, thermal, vibrational, FEA).
• Coordinate with optics, systems and manufacturing teams.
