Job summary

Siemens Smart Infrastructure seeks a Mechanical PACS Design Engineer for the Wendell, NC facility. The role is in‑person or hybrid and supports SIPANEL Protection & Automation product lines up to UL 508A standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years in a technical engineering role.
• Experience with 3D models (Siemens NX preferred).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems, including BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Convert internal Systems Engineering documentation and external firm packages into full manufacturing‑ready designs for PACS and SIPANEL products.
• Own the project BOMs, including creation, validation, and release of assemblies and components.
• Build and maintain Siemens NX 3D digital twins of SIPANEL assemblies for manufacturability and UL 508A compliance.
• Execute 3D wire routing in NX to generate harness lengths for automated production.
• Maintain a standardized mechanical part library within Siemens TeamCenter.
• Upload and structure SAP BOMs aligned with PACS production, procurement, and material readiness needs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve build issues and clarify design intent.
• Support digitalization, automation, and engineering process improvements for PACS design.
• Review and update drawings, schematics, and manufacturing docs for accuracy.
