Job summary

NorthAmCon, LLC seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will design and develop custom material handling equipment and systems, performing calculations and selecting components to ensure safe, efficient operation.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Operations, and customers to translate requirements into manufacturable designs, lead projects, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of mechanical design or equipment design experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD required.
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom material handling equipment and mechanical systems.
• Create and review manufacturing drawings, 3D models, and documents.
• Perform structural calculations, component sizing, and power transmission analysis.
• Lead projects from concept through production and support testing.
• Mentor CAD Designers and Technicians.
• Support manufacturing, purchasing, and operations with technical expertise.
