Job summary

Dometic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in the Stuart/Port St Lucie area to contribute to product development, design verification, and launch of electrified boating components. You will work with cross-functional teams on requirements, design, validation, and ongoing support.

The role emphasizes solid mechanics, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/Creo), and collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, and program management to deliver reliable, cost-effective industrial designs.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Experience with electro-mechanical products and mechanical design.
• Familiar with ISO9001 and design-for-quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and assemble components, including 3D modeling, material selection, and stress analysis.
• Develop system solutions for identified market opportunities.
• Prepare design documentation such as drawings, specifications, and test reports.
• Lead design reviews and validation tests (salt spray, lifecycle).
• Manage Bills of Materials for production assemblies.
