Job summary

Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center in Edgewater, FL seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to drive mechanical system design for marine products, leading cross‑functional collaboration and delivering manufacturable, regulatory compliant solutions using Siemens NX and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities include reviewing specs, drawings and ECNs, mentoring junior engineers, supporting launches with suppliers, and validating designs with tests and FMEA. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in marine product design preferred, with strong knowledge of production processes and system-level engineering.
• Proficient in CAD (Siemens NX preferred), 3D modeling, FEA, and design validation tools (FMEA, DVP&R, PLM systems).
• Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute mechanical system design across fluid systems, structural components, and complex mechanisms, ensuring manufacturability and supplier readiness through 3D/2D modeling and validation.
• Review and approve specifications, drawings, and ECNs, ensuring alignment with cost, performance, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with suppliers, manufacturing, and customer service to support product launches, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead internal/external design reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Validate designs using warranty data, system testing, and compliance checks with industry regulations and sustainability goals.
• Travel as needed (minimum 10%) to support development and integration activities.
