Dometic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Stuart/Port St. Lucie area to join our Marine team.

You will contribute to product development, design verification, validation, and support of electro‑mechanical components used in digital switching for OEM boat manufacturers. Responsibility includes design, documentation, BOM management, and cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to drive robust, cost‑effective solutions in a globally oriented,

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design for electro‑mechanical products.
• Familiar with casting, extrusion, injection molding, machining and sheet metal.

Responsibilities

• Design and assemble components, model parts, select materials.
• Research and develop system solutions for market opportunities.
• Prepare design docs: drawings, specs and test reports.
• Design using QFD, CAD and DFMEA per ISO 9001.
• Manage full development cycle from requirements to validation.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (PM, manufacturing, supply chain).
• Conduct design reviews and validation tests.
• Manage Bills of Materials for production assemblies.
• Evaluate make‑versus‑buy decisions and develop plans.
