Job summary

Dometic, a global leader in mobile living, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for the Port St Lucie, FL facility. You will drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and PFMEA across all manufacturing phases.

Strong collaboration with engineering and quality teams is essential to meet customer requirements. You will design layouts, calibrate equipment, and develop training materials to empower operators and enhance productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution; master’s degree is a plus
• Minimum of three (3) years in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management System
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma is required
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and SolidWorks; PLC experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan end-to-end manufacturing processes including layout, flow, assembly methods, cycle times and costs
• Design workspace layouts to maximize floor space utilization
• Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions
• Quantitatively improve product and process outputs
• Develop and justify equipment, fixtures, and methods for manufacturing
• Support new product designs and manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements
• Create operator instructions, control plans, and process requirements
• Conduct equipment calibration and capability studies
• Develop training materials for workforce skill growth
• Respond to corrective actions and customer complaints in partnership with Quality
