Job summary

Sloan Valve Company is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer II to contribute to design and development of our product portfolio. You will prototype, analyze, and optimize components and assemblies, ensuring quality through DFMEA and tolerance analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 3+ years of related experience.
Strong 3D modeling skills and ability to produce 2D drawings with documentation.
Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis and engineering analyses.
Experience with machining, sheet metal and structural weldments is beneficial.
Effective communication in English and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design new products in a team-based, stage gate process and document specs.
Create 3D models and production drawings in Creo Parametric for semi-custom products.
Perform design analysis including FEA and tolerance studies to address challenges.
Plan and execute robust experiments to validate designs against requirements.
Coordinate with Sloan partners and design sites to standardize design practices.
Identify process improvements to boost design automation and efficiency.
Explore new technologies for future product prototyping and manufacturing.
