Job summary

Click Bond in Carson City, NV is seeking a mechanical/aerospace design engineer to develop product designs using solid modeling and CAD software. You will perform design calculations, prepare specifications, and lead multiple projects through the full product design and validation cycle.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 3–5 years in related fields, proficiency in SolidWorks, and experience with FEA and manufacturing processes for aerospace fasteners.

Qualifications

• Effective use of statistical methods, design of experiments and systematic problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to work independently on high priority projects, manage project goals, and meet project deliverables on time.
• Create professional presentations and be able to present work both internally and to customers effectively.
• Manage several projects simultaneously in a multi-disciplined environment.
• Experience in a regulated industry and QMS environment.
• Understanding of the design process for both existing and derivative products.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes used in aerospace and the fastener industry.
• Understanding of aerospace and fastener industry standards.
• Ability to write and read English.

Responsibilities

• Develop product designs using CAD and solid modeling.
• Perform design calculations and prepare equipment specifications.
• Research, design, evaluate and manufacture mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements.
• Lead mechanical design across multiple projects and participate in validation processes.
• Investigate equipment failures and diagnose issues to improve operation.
• Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods.
• Specify system components to meet specifications and maintain proper documentation.
• Create drawings, models, and assemblies for manufacturing.
