Job summary

Nippon Seiki North America is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design automotive instrument clusters (IPC) and head-up displays (HUD). The role involves reviewing customer requirements, creating 3D models and 2D drawings with GD&T, and delivering engineering changes and presentations.

Required are a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 2–6 years of automotive design experience, and CAD experience (CATIA/UG).

Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD (CATIA/UG) and FEA tools like ABAQUS.
• Experience with GD&T, materials, manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Design automotive IPCs and HUDs with 3D models and 2D drawings (GD&T).
• Analyze test data and perform root-cause analysis.
• Conduct optical design and simulations; perform stack-up analyses.
• Run FEA for structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering presentations for customers.
