Job summary

MOBIS North America is seeking a Mechanical CAD Engineer to support automotive product design from concept to production. The role requires 2D/3D CAD design, STEP release management, and FEED coordination between OEMs and MOBIS HQ, ensuring timely design reviews and feasible solutions.

The candidate will work with UG and CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and cross-functional teams across borders, including onsite and OEM facilities, to deliver high-quality subsystems for HUD, IC, and displays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• ~5+ years of experience in Mechanical or Electronics CAD design.
• Proficient in UG (latest) and CATIA V5.
• Proficient in CAD PLM systems and releasing (Teamcenter).
• Experience coordinating with OEMs and MOBIS HQ across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical product design, development, and OEM automotive subsystems.
• Manage STEP releases and upload 2D/3D drawings for OEM milestones.
• Coordinate concept through final design with MOBIS HQ and OEMs.
• Control and support Mechanical Engineering data/documents delivery between OEM and MOBIS.
• Work on site at MNA and frequently offsite at OEM facilities; liaise between internal teams and customers.
• Discuss future product definitions and issue resolutions to maximize subsystem performance.
